Buildra began in 2025, out of a plain frustration with AI code tools: they wrote code, but nobody ran it. You got a diff and a promise, then spent the evening finding out which parts of it worked. We built the opposite. Every project gets a machine of its own, and the agent works there the way a person would — it reads the code, makes a change, starts the app, and looks at what comes back. The preview panel is that running app, so you find out whether something works while it is being built rather than after you publish it. The other half is asking. The agent proposes a plan and waits for you to approve it before it changes anything, and when a decision is genuinely yours — a name, a shape, a trade-off — it stops and asks in the same conversation instead of guessing. When it is right, one click puts it on its own address, and the code comes with you.
Buildra is built by a solo founder, Amir Elgammal. There is no support queue between you and the person writing the code: questions, bug reports and feature requests reach him at support@buildra.dev, and he answers them himself.
