Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

When you use Buildra, we collect information you provide directly: your email address, display name, and any content you enter into the AI chat or code editor. We also collect usage data automatically, including pages visited, features used, browser type, and IP address.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve Buildra
• Process your AI generation requests
• Send transactional emails (account, billing, security)
• Detect and prevent abuse or fraud
• Analyze aggregate usage to improve the product (never selling individual data)

3. Your Generated Code

Code generated through Buildra belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of any code, content, or applications you create. We may temporarily process your prompts and generated code to provide the service, but we do not use your project code to train AI models.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the providers needed to run the service, each for its own part: hosting (Fly.io, Cloudflare, Tigris, Temporal Cloud), sign-in (Supabase), AI model inference (our AI model provider, which receives your prompts, code and any images you attach, and states that it stores and processes data in the People's Republic of China), phone app builds (Expo), email (Amazon SES), analytics (PostHog, Google Analytics on buildra.dev), payments (Stripe), GitHub when you connect it, and when required by law. 5. Connected AI agents

You can allow a third-party AI assistant (for example Claude or ChatGPT) to use Buildra on your behalf. When you approve such a connection, Buildra issues that assistant a token limited to the permissions you chose (seeing your projects, creating projects, talking to the build agent, publishing, seeing your balance). Instructions the assistant sends are stored in the affected project's transcript exactly like messages you type yourself, and builds it starts use your credits under your plan's limits. We record which assistant performed an action and when, so you can review it. We do not share any other account data with the assistant's provider, and the provider's own handling of your conversation is governed by its privacy policy, not ours. You can revoke a connection at any time in Settings › Connected agents; revocation takes effect within minutes.

6. Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to team members who need it to operate the service. We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

7. Data Retention

Your account, projects, code and conversations are kept while your account is in use. A free-plan project that sits idle for six months is moved to cold storage; six months after that, Buildra sends two notices at least two weeks apart and then deletes it. Paying accounts, and accounts whose subscription ended within the last 90 days, are exempt. If you ask to delete your account (in Settings or at privacy@buildra.dev), its data is purged within thirty days. Code you downloaded or mirrored to your own GitHub stays with you.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for sign-in and sessions. With your consent, buildra.dev also uses analytics cookies from PostHog and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, PostHog session recordings, and, when you arrive from an ad, a cookie that remembers which ad it was so the sign-up can be credited to it. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked first and nothing is stored until they choose; you can change your choice at any time from "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page. We do not use advertising cookies to target you.

9. Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can download your project's source at any time, or mirror it to a GitHub repository you own. For data requests, contact us at privacy@buildra.dev.

10. Children

Buildra is not meant for children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact privacy@buildra.dev and we will delete it and close the account.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the app. Continued use of Buildra after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
