Import Your GitHub Repo into Buildra

You don't have to start from scratch anymore. Buildra can now import an existing GitHub repository and let you keep building it with AI — the same chat-driven workflow, on top of code you already have.

Paste a repository (owner/repo or a github.com URL) and Buildra clones it into a live sandbox, installs its dependencies, starts its dev server, and hands it to the AI agent, which explores your project before it changes anything.

Public and private repositories

Public repos import right away. To bring in a private repository, connect your GitHub account once under Settings → Linked accounts, and Buildra imports it securely on the Pro plan.

Works with the framework you already use

Import understands the modern JavaScript ecosystem: Next.js, Vite, SvelteKit, Nuxt, Astro, Remix, Angular, Gatsby, Solid, and Node backends like Hono and Express. If your app needs a Postgres database, Buildra provisions one automatically.

You can even paste a repo link straight into the chat — Buildra recognizes it and offers to import, no separate form required. Bring your code, keep your history, and let AI take it further.
